ET with IE on Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette

“Russian Roulette,” the first single off Rihanna’s next album Rated R due out on November 23, is coming under fire by some who say the song’s lyrics could promote suicide.
The lyrics read in part: “Take a gun, and count to three…know that I must pass this test, so just pull the trigger.”
“I just think the people green lighting these things have to do a better job,” Industry Ears’ Paul Porter tells ET.
The song’s writer/producer, artist Ne-Yo, defended the song’s lyrics, saying, “It was just an interesting topic over a crazy beat.”
