Indecency is defined as depicting or describing sexually explicit or excretory activities. However, the number three most played song on radio in 2003 was a song called, "Get Low". The songs chorus -- skeet,skeet, skeet -- means to ejaculate. It received over 200,000 spins, across radio formats reaching over 500 million listeners. However, no broadcast stations or networks have been fined.
- Public airwaves should reflect the interests of the public they serve. Send a message to broadcasters and hold them accountable. The first step is to learn how to file a formal complaint. A formal compliant must be filed with the FCC. Just Calling the radio station, broadcast network or confronting the on-air talent is not the way to get their attention.
